Brandon Thomas

President Brandon Thomas is a second year graduate student at Loyola University Chicago in the Higher Ed Program. He has a AA in Liberal Arts from Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago, and a BA in History (Concentration on US and African American History) from Loyola University Chicago. After Graduating from LUC and starting his Grad program the next year, Brandon moved to Arlington,VA to work at Marymount University. In his spare time, Brandon loves to read, be with friends and play video games with others in the community. A goal Brandon has for the the position is to have BGSA interact more with the Loyola community. 

Nisha St. Louis

LaShaunda Reese

Co-Founder and Secretary LaShaunda Reese is a 5th year PhD candidate in Ethics and Theology. She has a BA in Theology from Xavier University of Louisiana, an MA in Ethics from Loyola University Chicago, and a MTS from Candler School of Theology. She is also a Clinical Ethicist for Advocate Aurora Health in Illinois and Wisconsin, and also a member of the Anti-Racism Initiative Advisory Council for Loyola. She most recently won the Junior Scholar Award for the 2021 international conference Societas Ethica. LaShaunda’s goal this year as Secretary is to provide in depth media and written updates to the community, and strengthen the Black Graduate community through leadership, perseverance, and collaboration.

Vice President Nisha St. Louis is a MPP student who was involved with Black Student engagement and work during her undergraduate career. With plans to apply to Law School (including Loyola), Nisha looks to impact legislation and also serve her community. Nisha's goal as Vice President is to learn the ogranization and become equipped to lead the organization in the future towards expansive community and authentic engagement.
