We, the Loyola University- Chicago Black Graduate Student Alliance, recognize that Black students are underrepresented at all levels in higher education and are faced with challenges that are unique to Black graduate students. We resolve to provide academic, social, and cultural support for the advancement of Black graduate students of the Loyola community.

Our mission statement is to create and sustain an affinity space for self-identifying Black/African/African American graduate and professional students across all LUC campuses and schools that promotes healthy relationships with one another and other student organization on campus through networking, social events, professional development, wellness activities, academic support, etc. To promote inclusivity, diversity, and recognition of Black graduate students through community cooperation and involvement with local Chicago communities.
